Spring Cleaning: Temporary Tattoo Edition

Time to clear out some items that I’ve kept around because “I love it and I might just need it someday and it’s too good to throw out or recycle and I might just need it someday.” Or, in other words, The Hoarder’s Mantra.

So, I’ve decided to have a series of giveaways of STUFF I have around the house. Starting small with temporary tattoos.

My husband gave me these AWESOME temporary tattoos last year, I think it may have been Mother’s Day 2012. And I used each one twice, but then there were more and more. I think they may have multiplied! There are two, and they come from Tattly.

tattly_lim_heng_swee_book_lover_web_design_01_grandeThe giraffe carrying a ton of books is just the cutest thing. It’s light, so it doesn’t show up really well on darker skin. I put it on the inside of my wrist – but I put almost all temporary tattoos on the inside of my wrist. Still, it’s super cute for book lovers, librarians, and anyone with a heart.

The simple HUSTLE is for those of us who are shaker and movers, or in some cases (mine!) wobblers and wigglers. It will instantly transform you into a hipster, whatever that means. And it looks pretty real. I actually had a few people ask where I got it. However, it can also make someone feel a tad silly if they are lounging around in the sun, smelling the roses, and/or napping on a park bench — unless you wear it ironically. (See? Hipster!)

vegbooks_logoAs a bonus, I’m offering up some wicked cool temporary tattoos with the vegbooks logo. I occasionally write reviews for this site that helps vegetarian, vegan, and animal loving folks choose children’s books and other media that affirms their values. I met the founder while living in Sunset Park, Brooklyn – and she’s one of the people who has convinced me that living by one’s values is possible. Even on (especially on?) this nutty planet.

Check out the logo and read more about the site at VEGBOOKS.

Want a temporary tattoo or two sent to your home? Just leave a comment here telling me which ones you must have – and a Facebook LIKE on the page for That Unique* Weblog would be appreciated, but it’s not necessary. I’m easy that way.  I’ll collect entries up through Monday night. (May 27)  I’ll distribute them based on my highly technological scraps of paper in a hat trick. But since I have several of each, I think you’ve got a good shot at your first choice. 🙂

Stay tuned for more exciting giveaways of stuff I haven’t wanted to let go, but must.

  1. URP. I don’t think my first reply went through.
I’d wear “Hustle” for sure…stands up, listens for opening bar of “Do the Hustle”

  2. Rachel J says:

ohhhhh, my favorite is definitely the books one. I know a couple small town librarians who MUST apply these forenightly. (is that a word??)

  3. Robin Woods says:

I do so love the concept of HUSTLE tattoo. Concise. Terse. Makes you think. Sounds like me. The giraffe with tower of books is cute, but I’m so petite with small arms that it might go all the way up from my wrist to my elbow if I apply it that way.

  4. Karen says:

I love your giveaway idea. I recently moved into a super tiny place, and my partner and I got rid of more than half of our possessions. It felt great!

  5. Larks says:

I’m game for hustle or the giraffe. I feel like the veg books would raise some awkward question when I’m at the farmer’s market lining up for bacon. ;p

  6. TriGirl says:

The giraffe is so cute! I definitely utter the Hoarder’s Mantra on a regular basis…so I probably shouldn’t request that tattoos 🙂

  7. anna says:

I love your giveaways, but don’t consider this an entry – my hoarder tendencies would mean I would keep and never wear those awesome tattoos!

  8. Nice post. The designs look nice and they might be a good party favor. Thanks for posting.
