Essex County Hazardous Waste Event – Do It Right!

We’ve been saving batteries for ages.  And we have an old fire extinguisher that the previous owner left us.  Yep, we’ll be unloading tomorrow.

Free to all Essex County Residents

WHEN: Saturday, May 7, 2011 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

WHERE:  Essex County Fleet Maintenance Garage – 99 West Bradford Avenue, Cedar Grove, New Jersey

Essex County residents must provide proof of residency at the site.

Items accepted:

Pesticides and Herbicides – Paint thinners and solvents – Oil based paints and stains – Chemistry sets – Propane tanks (barbecue type) – Pool chemicals – Automotive fluids (antifreeze, motor oil,steering fluids, etc.) – Darkroom/Photographic chemicals – Household batteries (AA,AAA,C,D,9V,NiCad) – Fluorescent lightbulbs and ballasts – Mercury and products containing mercury – Gasoline/Kerosene -Household cleaning fluids – Car batteries – Fire extinguishers (home) Driveway sealer Aerosol spray paints –

We will not be accepting:

Latex paint – Unlabeled or Unidentified Materials – Asbestos – Regulated Medical Waste or Infectious Waste – Commercial or Industrial Waste – Empty Containers -Explosives, Munitions, Ordnance or Reactive Materials

Not for Commercial and Industrial Facilities.
