I never win on-line contests. Well, not NEVER, but not usually. In fact, I rarely enter them because sometimes the entries can be a wicked pain in the neck. However, I heard about a giveaway from Binkies and Briefcases from a fellow NJ Digital Mom member, and since I always used “binkies” as well, I was onboard.
And I won! I could have chosen any of the gorgeous handmade scarves, baby booties, hats, and hip boot cuffs from the new etsy store Neon Fireflies. I almost chose a warm and cozy hat for one of my kids — you know, the selfless Mom thing to do. But then I remembered the scratchy, not terribly wind-resistent scarf I had last winter, and I went for an infinity scarf. I’ve never had an infinity scarf, but I thought that eliminating the need to knot a scarf would make my mornings just that much less complicated. But the big news is that I chose hot pink.
I am not a pink-loving person, but it looked so cozy in the photo, that I couldn’t resist. Lots of colors to choose from.
It arrived quickly, and I’m very happy with the quality and care Heather, the owner of Neon Fireflies, took with this scarf. It’s beautiful, cozy, not scratchy (!), and it kept me warm in the single-digit temperatures while I waited for the school bus to show up.
Check out the Neon Fireflies etsy shop for great gifts for babies, children, and even for yourself.
This is the hat I *almost* chose: pompom winter hat.
* I won this scarf from a website raffle with no obligation or request to post about it. I was not compensated for this post. I just really love my new infinity scarf! *
Congratulations. And good for you for doing something nice for yourself.
Selfish does feel good sometimes. (And I figured if I didn’t like it, my daughter would love a new pink scarf.)
Definitely looks cozy. I’m sure it’s keeping you warm today!
It is! I love how easy an infinity scarf is. I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to have one!
Adorable! Nothing like a handmade scarf!
Though you wouldn’t have gone wrong with the hat, either…
I know! And I’m almost tempted to get the hat in an adult size…
I think you are ‘pretty in pink’.
p.s. that is you, right?
Awww thanks!
I think you need to get the hat too. I’m not a pink person either, but it looks so cheery for these dull winter days.
It’s definitely cheery — and I am surprised at how much I love the pink!
I love your pic, and hate that I am fashion backwards enough that I had no idea what an infinity scarf was, and fashion forward enough that I kinda sorta definitely have to have one now.
I had no idea until last year — so much easier (and cooler looking) than the traditional. The only drawback for me is that Kanye wears them. I don’t really want anything more in common with Kanye. But the scarf is worth it.
You are adorable! I’m so glad you like it. I will pass this post on to Heather. She will be thrilled that you love your scarf!
Thank you! I’m addicted to it, and I’m hoping for colder weather soon so I can wear it again!
Love that you went with a scarf for yourself–and in pink! Perfect and so glad you won!
Thank you!
Adorable scarf and picture. Aside from the Kanye thing, it’s a big win 😉
Tee hee. Kanye.
That’s quite the awesome scarf! I own a scarf. I got it for Christmas. Thing is, I wasn’t sure how to tie it without looking like one of those professional scarf wearers. So I goggled tying men’s scarf’s, and it seems, there’s a multitude of knots all with their own names and everything. Apparently, it’s all very serious business.
Knotting is important. And not just in fishing!
What an adorable scarf. I love the eternity scarves (I think that’s what yours is); makes it so easy to wear.
I agree! I’m an infinity convert!
