NSFW Questions About Love

He said it with such clarity and openness. “Mommy, what does Fuck Love mean? What is Fuck?” It felt like my head was being pulled down out of the clouds for a half-a-second. Then I realized he was reading the necklaces I had skimmed over earlier, assuming they were too far above eye-level to even warrant shuffling my kids over to another section of the store.

Fuck LoveThe woman next to us was impressed with my answer. At least that’s how I choose to interpret the half smile that seemed to tickle her mouth into a quivering somersault of control.

The necklaces are available at Born Again Vintage on Glenridge Avenue in Montclair.
