Suburban Living: Treats at the Door

So we got home after five days away to discover that The Star Ledger had not stopped the paper (generous!), but a kind neighbor had put them up on the stoop to keep them off the walkway.  Amidst the papers, we found not one, not two, but THREE treats to welcome us home.  A friend, a neighbor, and our realtor from two years ago had all left us edible greetings.  It was a lovely (and delicious) welcome home.  And it reminded me of one of the differences between living here and in Sunset Park: Most of the time, stuff on your stoop will stay there.  +1 for suburban living.

  2. I’m clearly living on the wrong block. No offense to my neighbors. 😉

I hope you weren’t disappointed that it was gingerbread. Happy New Year!
