Happy Solstice: May Your Days Be Merry and Bright

Somehow this wonderful adornment on the side of this Montclair home seems appropriate for the shortest day of the year.  Or longest night of the year.  Whichever you prefer.

    We pass this every morning when I take my daughter to Nishuane School. That “beard” only grew over the summer. Last year there was none and on the first day of school this year when my she saw it, she got so excited.
